Since March 2005 we have worked closely with the Daily Telegraph on a campaign to champion school sport. "School Sport Matters" aims to recognise and reward best practice in schools and to provide a forum for debate.

Aside from regular editorial features, we run the annual "School Sport Matters Awards", which have been held at prestigious venues such as the House of Commons, Twickenham Stadium, Lords Cricket Ground, and the Emirates Stadium. Attended by school children and teachers, sporting luminaries and Government including Dame Kelly Holmes, James Cracknell, Darrren Campbell, Gerry Sutcliffe MP, Kate Hoey MP and Hugh Robertson MP, the awards provide an important focal point to the campaign.
