UK: Aviva plans new financial awareness website

We have carried out a review of our UK financial awareness websites as part of the project that saw Norwich Union rebranded as Aviva on 1 June 2009.

We believe that our UK customers will benefit from having a single point of access to all our financial planning information, blogs, case studies, calculators and other online tools.

So we are planning to bring together the best of six-steps.org and makesenseofit.com in a new, combined website later this year.

This decision means that the Six-Steps website, which aimed to help people make informed financial decisions for retirement, has closed.

We are grateful for all the support and compliments we received since Six-Steps launched in November 2006, and remain committed to helping people feel more confident about handling their own finances.

Andrew Moss, chief executive, said: "As a leading pensions provider, Aviva wants to help you understand the choices available so you can make informed decisions about your future."

We believe that, when it launches, our new online proposition will be even better than before.

Please look out for announcements nearer the time.
