The Property Estates and Reversion Company Ltd
The Property Estates and Reversion Company was incorporated on March 30 1892 as the Property and Estates Company Ltd. It was acquired by the Yorkshire Insurance Company Ltd in 1931 and renamed the Property Estates and Reversion Company Ltd.

The company was initially established to purchase land, property, shares and securities and to grant annuities and debentures. Following its acquisition by the Yorkshire in 1931, the company began operating as a reversion company. On January 1 1963, the company's reversion business and assets were transferred to a fellow Yorkshire subsidiary, the Lancashire and Yorkshire Reversionary Interest Company Ltd. In 1978, they were transferred again to another Yorkshire subsidiary, Grampian Properties Ltd.
By the early 1990s, the company's principal activity was afforestation. On November 30 1992, the company disposed of its leasehold interest in forestry land on the Ardnamurchan peninsula and brought an end to its afforestation activity. The company was dormant from 1998 and, in 2002, its immediate holding company changed from Grampian Properties Ltd to Undershaft Limited. The company was dissolved on June 26 2004.
