Aviva Romania comprises two companies: Aviva Life Insurance and Aviva Management Company for a Private Pension Fund.
Our life business, which was set up in 2000, has more than 850,000 customers, of whom 800,000 come from our bancassurance agreements with the Romanian Development Bank and ABN AMRO Bank Romania.
We're Romania's fifth-largest pension provider, with a market share of 6.4%, and manage the mandatory pensions fund Pensia Viva. We employ around 200 people, alongside a direct sales force of 1,200 agents, and have more than 300,000 customers.
We first conducted business in Romania as Commercial Union, selling life insurance from 1890 to 1946, when the industry was nationalised. Commercial Union relaunched in 2000 following successes in Poland and the Czech Republic, and rebranded as Aviva in 2002. Read more about our history.

By air
The Henri Coanda airport is located in Otopeni, about 10 km from head office, which is located in downtown Bucharest.
By road
Transport means: 34, 46, 182, 783, 20, 24, 45, 110, 300, 205, 282 which lead you to Piata Victoriei (Piata = "square") or close by.
By underground
You get off at Piata Victoriei 2 station (M1 or M3 trains lead there) and then you walk about 5 minutes until you reach Aviva Romania's head office.
