Our roots in Taiwan (formerly Formosa) date back to 1889. We entered the market as Aviva in 2006, agreed the First-Aviva joint venture with First Financial Holding Co Ltd (FFHC) in 2007 and began trading in 2008.

First-Aviva distributes long-term savings and pension products through FFHC's flagship operation First Commercial Bank, which has 190 branches across Taiwan.

With Aviva’s expertise in the insurance industry and FFHC’s island-wide network and strong customer base, First-Aviva has succeeded in building a solid position and achieving a great performance in the highly competitive market in Taiwan.
